The Zircon MultiScanner 1STEP i520 takes the guesswork out of finding what's hiding behind drywall before you drill, cut, or hang anything heavy. It's built to detect wood and metal studs as well as live AC voltage in one pass, so you're not switching tools or modes mid-job. That combination matters most when you're mounting shelves, TVs, or cabinets near outlets and wiring, where hitting the wrong thing means a costly mistake.
With a scan depth of 1-1/2 inches, the i520 reads through standard wall material to locate framing members reliably. It runs on a single 9V battery, which is included, so it's ready to use right out of the carded package. Part of Zircon's OneStep line, this model is sized to be easy to handle and control with one hand while you work along a wall.
