About Product Overview

The PBST44Z is Simpson Strong-Tie's post base for anchoring 4x4 posts to concrete while keeping the wood off the slab, where moisture causes rot. Made from 12-gauge galvanized steel, it stands 6.25" tall and fits a 3.56" post width, giving you a solid mechanical connection for decks, pergolas, and other post-and-beam framing. Galvanized construction holds up to outdoor exposure, and the base lifts the post to reduce ground contact for longer-lasting framing.
